To the SAG members, We strike YOU!

Shut up SAG jerks!

How can SAG members have the RIGHT to complain about getting paid more money?!? I barely get by in my life with my $11.76 an hour. I live paycheck to paycheck, and almost never have money to treat myself to anything. But guess what, I make due and live a selfless life. You stupid actors are the single most selfish individuals on the Earth. Oh and guess what? I don't have any health insurance, and I have plenty of health issues. But guess what I'm still alive and kicking!

Go to www.sag.com and watch the most ridiculous video of your life. There is a clip of actress Alicia Witt begging to SAG members to vote yes on an actors strike. Apparently new contract negotiations failed and an impending strike could happen early next year. Actors are pissed off about new media which includes the internet. They are upset because well they aren't getting paid for their programs that are being aired on Network websites such as NBC, ABC, etc. Oh also they are upset because SAG is trying to stop residuals. Residuals are payments to actors for every re-run of their show that airs. According to the wonderful Alicia Witt actors are ONLY getting paid a measly $23 for their residuals. Only. Oh and when I said wonderful Alicia Witt, I of course meant wonderfully lacking of any remote ability to act. Seriously go see 88 Minutes and witness one of the single worst female performances known to movies. The woman can't act and yet she complains she needs more money for this "talent" of hers. The most she has to say for herself is an Academy of Science Fiction, and Horror Award NOMINATION for Urban Legend. Really Alicia Witt? REALLY?

Meanwhile some people in Africa, Mexico, etc. live off $2 a day for their entire families. I'm considered extremely wealthy to those people. I own a computer, a TV, I make about $500 a paycheck. I'm filthy rich compared to them? And do I feel good about that? NO! I feel awful. Yet these stupid actors demand more money or else they will strike and halt the production of our favorite shows and movies. Well I bring this to the table: How about we just strike right back! I know some of you love TV...but let these SAG people know how much we really don't care and stop watching their crap TV. Let them stop filming. Let them see what it's really like to live paycheck to paycheck. Let them work "crap" jobs like: teacher, pastor, doctor, firefighter, grocery store clerk, bank teller, warehouse worker, maid, garbage man, plumber, janitor. Or better yet, I dare them to try being HOMELESS for a DAY! Sure they can play these types of people on TV, but can they play them in real life?

It's so frustrating, especially in a time where EVERYONE is struggling with money for these group of inconsiderate, selfish people to say they aren't getting paid enough. They aren't getting re-paid for work they've already done! Gee wouldn't that be nice. Wouldn't you like to get paid today for a job you used to have along with the job you are doing now? Man that would be the life! So I say SCREW the SAG!!!!

Let's boycott them! Who's with me?!?

I agree with what you are saying considering that I have been out of work for 9 months now! You hear them complaining about not getting their millions for this, $100,000 for that. Oh, boo hoo!! Try living on unemployment for 9 months and having to lose your medical insurance because you can't afford it. I can find other things to do besides watching TV or going to the movies. Getting out of the house and exercising would be better for me than sitting on my butt and watching the rich celebraties complain about not getting more money!

I'm with you Mikey!

Yeah exactly so many people are unemployed now! SO many! I don't see how these idiotic actors can justify their complaints, ESPECIALLY in a time like this! It's sad and ridiculous!

Mikey, you obviously don't know anything about the film & television industry except for reaching for the remote.

OK Mister of Miss Anonymous explain to me what I'm missing. I have been out of work for 9 months, have no medical insurance and may lose my house next year if things don't change!! Is it more than the rich actors complaining about not getting paid for certain things? From where I am standing, I would love to get 1% of their frickin' salary!!! Explain your rude comment please!

Yes Anonymous, I am QUITE skilled in the fine art of reaching for, picking up AND placing back down of the remote control. I have been practicing for many a year, and I can do it with the best of them! If you think you attempt at a "put down" is insulting or hurtful in any way, than clearly you have lost that battle my friend! You see I am but a mere peasant in this world corrupted by greed.

You are also right that I do not have some extensive knowledge of film & television! How the heck would I, I am not an actor! Duh! But what I do know Mr. or Mrs. Anonymous is that an actors primary job is to play pretend all day. They have to memorize some lines and put on some makeup and stand before a camera and pretend to be someone they are not. And for this, they CLEARLY deserve as much money as they can possibly rake in!

The job of an actor is clearly furthering this society along in a direction it needs to go. Heck if movies and TV were not around the world would cease to exist!!! Hey they should make a movie about that!!! They teach our children to be people they are not! They teach our children violence and sex is GOOD!

Listen buddy, if movies and TV were to end today, I guarantee you the world would keep going and probably for the better. Their profession is for entertainment. Just like athletes. They are circus clowns we watch in amusement. What awful lives they live! I know I couldn't stand being in the limelight! I know I would hate living in a nice house rather than a cruddy apartment. I know I would hate having numerous cars, etc. etc. Gosh, I would be disgusted to have all that!

HA! You know I'm kidding right? You must be an actor anonymous! How fun! You must be struggling to live like all these poor homeless performers in the world. We should totally give them more money! HECK YES!!! Give them whatever they want, I say! As long as they can keep doing what they are doing!

Picking up on the sarcasm there? Probably not, so that's why I told you. I get by just fine with my minimal salary, barely...but I survive. How dare these jerks come out and say they make ONLY $23 for residuals. They get paid more for crap they did years ago then some people get paid in a week!!! And to top it off we hand out little shiny statues to them each year for being good at what they do! Where the awards for teachers? For plumbers? For people who actually HELP people and this society?

Sorry Anonymous...you won't bring me down!

Speaking of awards Anonymous, stay tuned for my Mikey @ The Movies Award nominees coming out this coming weekend! Muahahaha, don't ya just love me!?!?

I just want to add that many of the actors do NOT support the strike either.

Mikey@the_Movies said...

No, they do not! They are the good people! I would also like to add that I am a huge fan of movies and TV and I'm sure I'll be called a hypocrite. But movies are fun, they are a good escape from life. But at the same time I don't NEED them to live. My life may actually be improved without them. So do what you need to do actors...the rest of us will just continue living our "poor folk" lives...
